Parent & Friends Association update

I am pleased to announce the new chair holders of the Coldingham Parents & Friends Association. The continuing chairperson is Alison Ramcharran (Taisho and Alexander’s mum), the new secretary is Katie Kendrick (Lulu and Hattie’s mum) and the new treasurer is Mhairi Drummond (Coralie and Scarlett’s mum). Thank you to the retiring secretary, Genevieve Young (Poppy’s mum), and treasurer, Helen Gibson (Carrie and Rory’s mum), for your hard work last year.

PE teacher update

As you all know, Mrs Henry retired at the end of last term. For reasons out-with my control, a replacement PE teacher is yet to be appointed. In the interim, the children will continue to enjoy their weekly PE with the help of supply teachers. All primary teachers are trained to deliver primary PE so I am confident that the pupils will continue to progress in their physical education.

German Teacher

Starting next week, we will be welcome Vivien Bauer into school. Vivien is from Germany and is training to be a teacher. As part of her training, she is working in a number of local schools, teaching German to both classes.

Operation Christmas Child

For the past number of years, our school has supported the Operation Christmas child initiative. If you would like to take part in this year’s collection, please ensure your completed shoe box and money is in school by Friday 4 November.

Eyemouth Early Years Centre

The Early Years Centre that has opened in Eyemouth at the primary school, recently is available to all families in the Berwickshire area. They are there to provide opportunities and support for all children and their families. The centre is friendly and welcoming; we have an “open door” policy and welcome anyone to attend. They have a range of activities on in the centre.
