SCOTTISH SCHOOLMEALS WEEK31ST OCT – 4th November
This Year sees the return of the full week to celebrate School Meals and the fantastic work that we do!
At our school we will be promoting Scottish School Meal week every day. The week commencing 31st October.
Scottish School Meals consists of all local authority catering organisations in Scotland, from Dumfries and the Scottish Borders to the Highlands and Argyle & Bute.
It will run from 31st October – 4th November and the 5 days will each have a theme day.

Big School Bake Off and Paul Hodson (of Duns primary) fantastic Cobbler!This is where we celebrate the bake that got Sheila Clyne’( Burnfoot Primary) into the UK final of the School Bake off and Pauls Runner up Dish from this year’s SScoty competition.

We are using an adaption of Beverley Paterson’s (Chirnside Primary) UK winning dish!

One Pot Mac Bac and Cheese
One Pot Pasta Roma
Fresh Fruit Pot
Friday 4th November
Although on this day we will be serving a regular brunch we will be holding a cookie/cake stand at Break Time with each item just costing 20p. All proceeds go towards the Charity SOCIAL BITES which is a sandwich/ coffee shop units based throughout Scotland. Social Bites is a Social Business, meaning that no matter how big it grows, no individual will ever get rich from the business. 100% of all profits go to a good cause, 25% of their workforce is made up from people with Backgrounds of homelessness and they feed the homeless every day with meals that their customers pre-pay for.

Please note on all days Free Bread, Yoghurt, Fresh Fruit and Apple Orange Juice, Water will be served.
Please note Parent Pay are aware of this and they have assured us that the menus have changed on the system. However we will be able to accommodate everyone that comes for a school meal on each of the changed menu
