Nursery newsletter October , November 2016

Borders College student, Keira Ann MacAleese, NC Child Development Studies, will be attending Nursery on a Thursday and Friday for work experience for the foreseeable future.

Snack Money is now due; £23 for the term, £2.50 per week or for pupils who attend less than 5 sessions per week snack money is 50p per session. All holidays and in-service days are deducted.

Village Walks – We intend to take regular village walks this term, looking at local landmarks and learning about our environment. Please send your child in suitable clothing, footwear and wrap up warm.

Halloween Party will be held on Monday 31 October. The school photographer will be in first thing to take photographs so please send your child’s costume in for them to change into. We will be playing party games, dooking for apples and grab the marshmallow – no hands. We will have a party snack and there may be an opportunity for your child to get their face painted. Please inform a member of staff if you do not wish your child’s face to be painted.

Bonfire on the beach – PFA successfully run a bonfire and firework display on Coldingham beach. This will take place on Saturday 5 November at 6pm. £3 per adult and children 3 years and over £1. A great family night out and all welcome.

News from home Please feel free to use this space in the cloakroom to share any exciting events or achievements that happen out with Nursery.

Trays and Notice Board – please ensure notice board and children’s trays are checked regularly.

Story Sacks will run over the winter month. We would encourage all story sacks are returned by a Thursday at drop off time to allow time for contents to be checked and handed out at end of session. Your cooperation is very much appreciated. If any parent is able to spare a short period of time on a Thursday morning to help check through the sacks this would be much appreciated.

In-service day – closed to pupils Thursday 10 & Friday 11 November

St Andrews day – closed to all Monday 28 November
