Parent Consultations
The evening of Tuesday 8th November and afternoon of Wednesday 9th November are this term’s Parent Consultation sessions. You have been asked for your preference and a note will be sent home next week to confirm your appointment time. Please get in touch with the school office if you have any questions.
School photographer
On Monday next week, the school photographer will be in school. Please ensure pupils are ‘neat and tidy’ for the camera. In place of the current company, Tempest Photography, a parent group have volunteered to organise a vote for a new school photographer. During the Parent Consultation sessions, please take the time to look at the displays from bidding companies and cast your vote!
Rio Olympic Passports winners
Congratulations to all of our Active Schools Olympic Passport medal winners. A large number of pupils from P2 up to P7 took part in the competition and a number of medals were awarded by Kendal Smith at Tuesday’s assembly. Well done.
Netball competition
A team of P6&7 pupils will be travelling to Galashiels next Wednesday to compete in the Borders Netball competition. Helen Gibson has kindly provided some coaching and the team are excited about taking part. We’ll report back next week.
Achievement Assembly
Our next ‘Achievement Assembly’ will be on Tuesday 1st November. Please send in recent trophies, certificates or awards to be shared with the school.

Daniel…I like playing with dinosaurs and I’m excited about the new dark space with the pumpkins
Hailie…I have been working with Miss De’Ath on my Learning Story and I’ve been writing my name!
Alastair I have been playing outside….It’s getting cold!
P1,2 News
This week in school we have been counting to 100. We’ve been practicing sounding out new words.
On our crucial Crew day we were learning how to be safe. We had a lifeguard and a fire person come in to school to talk to us about how to stay safe.
We have been really excited about the Halloween Party!!
P3,4 News
We have started planning our new topic all about inheritance. We are going to find out about inherited characteristics.
We have made an Animal Rescue Centre. It is very busy!
The pupil Council met for the first time.
P5,6,7 News
This week we have been doing P.E with Mrs Teather we have been doing circuit training.
In music with Mrs Mutch we learned a song for our Christmas play called Hosanna rock 
This week Freya enjoyed her daily writing
In assembly this week Kendal gave out the medals for the Olympic passport
Alfie and Szymon enjoyed football in the playground

On Tuesday Mrs Bamford came in to tell us about Red Squirrels, we went into the woods to put down some maize to try and track squirrels. by Logan and Amy
