Welcome back!
We trust you all had a relaxing holiday and that the disappointing weather didn’t dampen things too much. Perhaps the sun will start shining now that we’re all back to school?!
We have a busy summer term ahead with lots going on, particularly for our Primary 7s who will be embarking on a number of High School related activities. However, there are still 10 weeks of Primary school to go and there’s a lot of learning to do.
This term, as ever, we will strive to inspire our pupils, invest in our pupils and involve our pupils. As always, we value your support from home as we seek to help your child be the best version of themselves that they can be.
IMPORTANT NEWS
P6 rugby workshop: For the next 4 weeks, in readiness for the upcoming Primary 6 Rugby Festival in May, our P6s will enjoy a weekly ‘rugby skills’ workshop on Tuesday lunchtime run by Mak Wilson (Berwickshire Rugby Development Coach). Please ensure pupils have suitable PE kit and outdoor shoes.
Storytelling Festival for P1-3: On Monday 23rd (next week), our P1-3 pupils will be joined by peers from Ayton, Cockburnspath and Reston for a very special storytelling festival. We have three traditional storytellers arriving for the event which will see our pupils learning about and enjoying this important skill.
Primary 7 Information Evening @ Eyemouth High School: Next Tuesday (24th), parents / carers and pupils are invited to the High School at 6pm for an information evening. This will be about starting High School, the planned transition activities and the P7 Residential at the end of May. Please do come along.
After-school clubs: All after-school clubs will start next week. Details to follow.
PE this term: Mrs Easton did a fantastic job for the first two terms of this school year but, unfortunately, she is unable to stay with us for this last term. Fortunately, Mrs Knighton (whom the pupils know) has agreed to cover our PE until the summer. As a result, core PE will be on THURSDAY mornings.
