Dear Parents/ Carers

Priory Live – Tuesday 4 June, P6 pupils will be visiting Coldingham Priory for this all day event. Pupils will require a packed lunch.

Swimsafe – P3 – 7 will be taking part in the ‘Swimsafe’ programme run by the RNLI at Coldingham Beach on Thursday 13 June. Pupils will be walking to and from the beach. All equipment (including wetsuits) are provided, but your child will need to bring a swimming costume, towel, sunscreen and a bottle of water. P3-5 will be at the beach for a 9.15am start and P6,7 for a 12.45pm start. Please complete the attached EV2 consent form.

School meal cost increase – Over a number of years the school meal service has been transformed and an immense amount of work has gone into continually improving the service. We understand the importance that nutritious food has in supporting a child’s healthy growth and development. Our school lunches not only meet all nutritional guidelines and provide a healthy balanced meal but continue to be extremely popular.

During the past few years, in addition to improving the choice and quality of our menu, the price of a school lunch has been held at £2.10. However, as many of you will be aware the general cost of food ingredients has increased substantially over this period and after much consideration we have reviewed our school meal pricing. I am therefore writing to advise you that with effect from 20th August 2019 the price of a school lunch in the Borders will increase by 10p to £2.20.
