RESPECTFUL • READY • SAFE
Our school is a happy, inclusive community which cares for and nurtures one another. It serves the educational needs of children from Nursery to Primary 7 residing in Coldingham and St Abbs along with children from other areas whose parents elect to enrol them with us. We work co-operatively with our partner school Cockburnspath Primary, sharing resources and staff. For session 2019-20 our intention is to further develop joint activities for our pupils, beyond the planned P7 transition events we undertake with the wider cluster schools.
Coldingham Primary is a busy and friendly school with lots of interesting, challenging and relevant learning and activities going on. Through our website, we provide parents, carers, pupils and our friends in the community with regular information about the work and life of the school. We also aim to share the many different aspects of school life and to showcase the learning, skills, talents and successes.
We are proud of our school and are always eager to be active in our community. We currently have 70 children divided into 3 classes, and a Nursery with the full extended hours. In addition to our highly committed teaching staff we have an excellent team comprising our School Administrator and additional support assistants who work across the school, supporting and enhancing children’s learning. All staff take immense pride in their work and also make a strong contribution to continuously improving the school.
We have a highly supportive Parent Council (PFA – Parents & Friends Association) who are
committed to helping us raise standards as well as providing additional resources and events throughout the year for our children.
Our school benefits from its location being so close to woodland and the beach, ably supporting our commitment to learning out of doors. We hope you find the content of the website useful and informative.
